Who Are We
Sidney Rentals, part of RE True Property, is a property rental company specializing in temporary housing for co-op and intern students on their work term. The owners are familiar with these programs. Having participated as students and having managed co-ops and interns throughout their prior corporate careers. We realized that a vast majority of housing rentals are aimed at long-term renters and do not meet the needs of these students, so we set out to create a solution for them.
Our Company Goal
At Sidney Rentals our goal is to provide safe, clean, furnished living spaces that provide flexibility to students who are not full-time employees. This is accomplished through our medium-term rent by the room model. We currently use residential properties in smaller cities located close to the manufacturing and professional companies who employ these part time students.
What We Provide
We employ a shared housing model to provide completely furnished, ready-to-move-in, inexpensive medium-term housing for students. Through our use of individual leases, students are provided with a private and secure (lockable) bedroom and shared common living facilities. The facilities are furnished, and all the necessities are provided apart from personal use items such as bed sheets and bathroom towels. Our current housing offerings service the areas surrounding Sidney Ohio with locations in downtown Sidney.
What We Charge
The semester lease is collected by the month and prorated to the students start and end dates. A flat fee is charged for normal use of utilities based on historical usage. This includes all utilities and internet. Lawn care and maintenance is provided by us and students are provided with a method of logging requests through our property management site. Room rates vary by type and size of room and are occasionally adjusted according to market rates, so pricing and availability is listed and up to date on our website.

Based on our own personal experiences, the transition from school to co-op is stressful, especially when you are new to the position and location. We are here to help simplify one of the hardest parts of starting a co-op term, housing. Through our customized offerings we try to make the transition as smooth as possible.
